Life is full of challenges. They can be personal, professional, or societal; at times, they may seem insurmountable. But what if I told you that these challenges could also be the key to your greatest growth and transformation?

As this is Black History Month 2025, I want to share some brief stories about people you may have heard about but never really considered the challenges and opportunities they encountered.

Let’s take a journey back in time. Before they became icons, W.E.B. Du Bois, Mary McLeod Bethune, and Angela Davis, before their names filled history books, they were children—learning, questioning, and dreaming of a world that had yet to make room for them.
